I know of a few of those. Doug and the slugs, the one i remember most was a song called "Too Bad" i think it's on my ipod. The only song i remember from Saga is "on the Loose", if they are the same Saga. Canadians are pretty cool now that i think about it. Images in Vouge are cool, me and my girlfriend talked about them the other night when "Lust for Love" came on my ipod, so i downloaded some more for her. Off the subject, i just bought the Bose speakers for my ipod and i'm pretty impressed, very nice, but 300 bucks, ouch! [:D]

Wow, you hit a sweet spot on my Canadian memories. Thanks to CanCon, radio up north often sounded differently.

I featured a <a href="http://www.dtradio.com/show_list.php?show_id=356&show_date=2003-10-24">show on Canadian New Wave</a> a couple of years ago. There will be one for tomorrow too considering tomorrow's CANADA DAY, eh?

There's this neat concept in internet technology, and it is called hyperlinking.

The '80s station part of it is okay, it's like 50% mainstream crap. They did play Rough Trade's "All Touch", less than 24 hours after seeing their performance on an SCTV DVD. Sadly, it doesn't show the current playing track since Microsoft stations 99% just don't. Winamp's got that market cornered.

What I'm curious about is what ad baners do they have that my work place is blocking.

I always forget to include some favorites. I will add "No More & No Less" from them.

Did anybody like National Velevet? They were kind of a Canadian Concrete Blonde.

The Pursuit Of Happiness is worthy of a mention. "I'm An Adult Now" stuck in my head when I turned 18.

Yes, Lynx radio did play Rough Trade - All Touch, which I must now aquire, I had previously never heard of them. FYI It does show the current playing track, but it always winds up getting stuck and not working.

Also I didn't know Glass Tiger was Canadian.

Wanna know what is scarier? Their biggest Canadian hit was "Highschool Confidential" which was the first outwardly lesbian-themed single to hit the charts. It was surprising that many radio stations kept the line "She makes me cream my jeans when she walks my way." Lead singer <a href="http://carolepope.com/index2.html">Carole Pope</a> was a huge pop icon up north.
