Only 2 songs remain unidentified (#23 and #24). These are probably the 2 most obscure songs in the game, so that's not really surprising. [;)]

Here are the complete results for Name That Tune 24 (USA Edition)! While there were no shortage of great New Wave acts in America, relatively few acts reached the widespread commercial success of their British counterparts. The result was a pretty challenging game for most players. The responses seemed to break solidly into two groups - those who knew only the big name acts and those who could name some of the others as well. Only 2 songs remained unidentified. Good job everybody! [:)]

I know some NWO folks collect material from favorite record labels, but I have never really been one of those people (at least not for New Wave music). My collecting has always been artist and style driven. I couldn't even tell you what labels most artists in my collection are on. [:I]

Several folks have asked me about the next NTT game. So to answer everyone's question, the next game will finish our world tour. I'm calling it the <B>Commonwealth Edition[/b], as it will include only artists from Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. [8D]

I had originally intended to do separate games for "Down Under" and Canada, but I didn't really have enough "known" material for either to make a fun game. Nobody really wants to play a game with 15+ potential stumpers in it, do you? [:p]

I have a few more games in the early planning stages, though they may never see the light of day. I have a couple single artist games (kinda like Blir's Joy Division/New Order game, though I wouldn't require sources). I'm also working on style specific games. The first, near and dear to my heart, is a History of Synthpop game, which would start with the pioneers in the mid-70s and follow through the 80s up to the currect modern synthpop scene. A number of other games could follow in other styles: New Romantic, Punk, Ska, Post-Punk, Power Pop, etc... I've also got a early plan for an Instrumental NTT game, where all of the songs would be instrumentals. It has some terrific songs, but I'm afraid it's waaaay too difficult as it stands. I'd also like to do a Halloween themed game in October, but I really need quite a bit more material. If anyone has some great spooky NW Halloween song suggestions, shoot me an email. [:)]

While I have selected nearly all of the tracks for the <B>Commonwealth Edition[/b] game, I still have a lot of ripping and editing to do. It will likely take a couple weeks to put it all together.
