Identifying members with bands

Postby skinnytie » Fri Jul 22, 2005 11:41 am

Just by reading the posts here, I'm starting (or have started) to associate certain bands with certain members, as if they have claimed that band as their own. This started when one of the old posters, PikeProf (who I haven't seen post recently) managed to mention the Plimsouls in each and every one of his posts! So here are some of my examples of this phenomenon:

waukena - The Clash (and rubbeet, to a lesser extent)
Blir - New Order (this is actually a toss-up with him, Schwenko, and marvymarv)
cubby - Siouxsie and the Banshees
kimiiii - Wham!
wozgo - Berlin (I see him in every album cover of theirs now)

Am I missing any? I'm sure I am. Does anyone have others they wish to add?

Cool thread! I'll sacrifice New Order to Schwenko, put Marvy with Pet Shop Boys and take Joy Division for myself. Others...

Hensoneno - Bill Nelson
Hexicon - Franz Ferdinand
Ollie Stench - Epoxies
Electric Lash - The Church
That one Canadian guy - Gino Vanelli
That other Canadian guy - Corey Hart

I know the feeling. My name is a song title of a song nobody has ever heard. That's what you get for not going for the obvious. [:D]

me! with (old) Duran Duran !

Although I am glad to see that I haven't annoyed you all with my constant references to them; otherwise, I'd surely see my name up there.[:I]

I forget their names! Do a search usin Gino Vaneli and Corey Hart and I'm sure you can figure it out. And on second thought, the Corey Hart gentleman may not even have been Canadian. But he was acting suspiciously like one - he's lucky he didn't get shot! [:o)]

I've been trying to cut my Blondie references down to once every couple of days. I'm glad I slipped under the radar.[:)]
