Dream Line Up of a Band

Postby guyinsf » Fri Aug 26, 2005 2:56 am

If you could pick any individual from any NW band who you feel is the best at what he/she does (vocals, drums, guitar, synthesizer, songwriter) and gather together a dream line up of all these artists to form the most perfect band, who would be in that band?

Oh fun!
OK, here’s what I gathered to work with:

Voice: The Edge (U2), Roland Orzabal (Tears for Fears), Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode), Simon LeBon (Duran Duran)

Guitar: John McGeoch (Siouxsie and the Banshees/The Armoury Show), The Edge (U2)

Synths: Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode/Yazoo/Erasure), Alan Wilder (Depeche Mode), Nick Rhodes (Duran Duran), Michael MacNeil (Simple Minds)

Bass: John Taylor (Duran Duran), Mick Karn (Japan), Leigh Gorman (Bow Wow Wow)

Drums: Roger Taylor (Duran Duran), Steve Jansen (Japan), Terry Bozzio (Missing Persons)

The final lineup was very difficult to choose, but the winners are: *drumroll*

Voice: Simon LeBon
Guitar: The Edge (first choice was John McGeoch, but he is deceased)
Synths: Alan Wilder
Bass: John Taylor
Drums: Terry Bozzio

Amazing! *jaw drops*

Brooks or Dunn - guitar -- who cares which one, it's the same guy isn't it?
Someone from the band Air Supply - organ (obviously)
Milli or Vanilli - vocals (well, maybe I'd better say lip sync) -- which ever one is still alive, I can't tell them apart.
The Partridge Family drummer -- that's right, the little kid!
Kathy Valentine - Go-Go's bass player -- might as well get someone decent in there while we're at it
