what i did on my summer vacation.

I ran a lot -- between 33-40 miles per week (that's normal).
Watched some TV.
Shot some jobs here and there.
Slept in as much as possible.

Pretty much the same thing I do all the time.

Wolver...buddy...herein lies the problem with your summer...you didn't get drunk anywhere NEAR enough...my sis has property in Oxford that I'm supposed to do some electric work in before it snows, maybe I'll toss a nice something in the car and hang the left (right? straight?) at Binghampton and see if we can rectify that situation...[:D]

2nu...the weather was awesome the whole week in oshkosh. It only rained when I was in Chi-town and Milwaukee, and I'm prolly going to Republic next Sunday. Nine O Nine is going to be there and I've never seen her.

Plus, my Mom was a Rosie the Riveter in Idaho (someplace near Kimiiiiiiiland) and once worked on a 17 but never got a ride, she's flown 24s and 25s, so I think I'm gonna surprise her with it...$400 but waaaay worth it. I thought it was really steep til I plunked it out last year at Teterboro for Yankee Lady and it was one of the great thrill rides of my life...hmmmm, maybe I'll go again too...

Ya know, I will forever be kicking myself for giving up a spot on a B-25 ride as a token gesture of respect for my former boss at Republic.
I'll always remember the look on his otherwise taciturn face when he disembarked from the 20 or so minute flight over the LI South Shore.
He looked and acted like his adolescent boy self after getting his first ride on 'Lightnin Loops' at Great Adventure.
Oh well, all I got to do when working there was get a 3 hour ride on the Bud Blimp. [;)]
Oh yeah, I also got to ride around NYC on CAL's fully restored DC-3 back when I was managing aircraft fueling ops at LGA.

School began here on August 10th. It's still 1,000 degrees out, so my classroom is unbearably HOT, but that's nothing new.

We went to Connecticutt & RI in June for brother-in-law's wedding. It was a fabulous trip! The only bummer was the insane humidity....I had the worst hair ever for that week; in all my pictures, I look like Broom Hilda. Eek!

I went to Salt Lake City for a few days in late July to visit relatives. I asked for and got lots of stories about old family history. very intriguing.

Took lots of day trips all around this beautiful state of New Mexico...mmm, what a lovely state.

But mostly, I slept in as often as possible, gardened, did some light house redecorating (painting and putting in new windows), and spent quality time with our Labs. Very rejuvenating !
