New Wave underground re-issue labels?

Hi, I'd like to know if anyone has leads to some independent record labels that re-issue underground (lesser known) original New Wave music?

I'm a record producer who is now working with two New Wave acts -- each had one small-label single out in the early 1980s -- and each has an unreleased album from the same time ready to release! (They also have music videos and live footage.)

It's great stuff (one is a cross between Joy Division and dark synth pop, the other more garage-alt rock) -- but are there labels and fans interested in hearing unreleased albums from obscure new Wave bands!?? Any and all thoughts and leads are welcome...

i once connected a member of "the bureau" (dexy's midnight runners spin-off band... ) with this label, with a view to getting their album re-released:

..it ended-up coming out on WEA, but they are specifically an 80's re-issue/garage rock label.

Yes, I do know Detour -- they actually have released (and distributed) many fine underground records, mostly in the Mod genre.

The unreleased music I mentioned at the head of this topic is really New Wave. Perhaps my question should be: what small, independent labels curently release original New Wave music from the 1980s!?!?

Hey Timothy, I actually emailed you a month or two back about the Joy Division/dark synth band you mention. I and everyone who I've played the songs for really enjoy them! Here are a few labels worth checking out:

Acute Records specializes in reissuing unknown and obscure 80s and no wave, so it's worth a shot.

Superfecta mainly releases reissues of unknown and lost albums, but by larger bands.

Apoplexy is a no-budget label that sometimes reissues cd-rs of obscure bands

The Smack Shire is a tiny Florida label that sometimes reissues albums. They recently reissued the lost and obscure album 'Group Xex' by Xex, an early-80s minimal electronic band. And yes, they really are based in America, despite all the French.

Vinyl on Demand is a German label that releases limited edition (500 copies or so) high-quality vinyl reissues of lost electronic and experimental bands. Most of the bands are German, but the Joy Division/synth band might very well fit here.

Well, it's a small world, eh? Many thanks for the kind words and also for the very good leads! Having worked in the alt-rock circle of record labels for years, it's very interesting for me to re-adjust and search for the right labels for these original New Wave bands! A whole new ballgame!

I'm from germany, and here we have some re-issue labels for New Wave / Minimal stuff... I think, they do very good work and like to have more of those labels...
There are so many really great music, and sometimes the editions of tapes or records are so limited...

Thank so much for the label leads! Anyone else have any ideas for indy New Wave re-issue labels? My search kind of reminds me of the re-issue craze in the 1980s for unreleased '66 garage sounds. I wonder how many unreleased New Wave albums are out there like the 2 I am getting ready?
