The Smiths
The Talking Heads -- though I heard David Byrne say once, "There's a reason you don't reunite with your ex-wife."

Both of these bands reuniting and creating new music would make many, many people happy. Now if some of these rappers would crawl away, or shoot each other, then maybe we could get some peace. <img src="http://www.cooganphoto.com/invboard/html/emoticons/tongue.gif">

I would like to see Cher reunite with a human form and not that withered corpse she is using now.

[:D]philly

Why reunite with an actual flesh & blood when plastic is working so well for her?

Marvy, Smiths! Definately. That would be huge. They have every reason to do it with both Marr and Morrissey still adept at songcraft. So M&M, if you're monitoring the NWO, you know we're ready to line your pockets with gold beyond the richest dreams of avarice! [8D]

Would it considered bad form to say Ian Curtis and Joy Division?

I say we start our own band and tour and be all like "New Wave Lives on!"

I get to play keyboards and do all the acid.

Oingo Boingo
The Smiths
Talking Heads

I don't think any of those will ever happen, mostly because of the respective frontmen.

For any of you in the So Cal area...half of the members of Boingo are reuniting for a pre-Halloween gig at the Grove of Anaheim on October 29th.

The Tears For Fears reunion sucks big-time in my opinion...
Soft Cell reunited 2 years ago, released a crap album...
Simple Minds still excists and have a new album...let's wait and see what that will come to.
Blondie reunion didn't account to much either....

For me New-Musik should reunite, there were plans for a reunion a couple years ago named 'E-Musik' but it never happened :-(.

And a lot of the rest are all doing these 'Back to the 80's' gigs in the UK & Europe (Culture Club, Abc, Bow-Wow-Wow, Etc).

And VH-1 had a series of 'Bands Reunited' a while back (Kajagoogoo, Abc, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Flock Of Seagulls, etc), fun to watch
i must admit but seeing these band really reunited to do new stuff...who's waiting for all these old bald & fat ex-members of these bands ? [:)]. Not me !!
