2. Blue Monday 12" single - New Order (prophetic)
3. Just can't get enough 12" single DM (very much contradictory to what's actually on the vinyl)
4. Welcome to the Pleasuredome - FGTH (obscene cover, gatefold and sleeves)
5. Nature of Love - Ministry (great cover - crappy song)

My favorite album covers (for vinyl) of all time are:

"Kiss in the Dreamhouse" - Siouxsie & the Banshees
"Hyaena" - Siouxsie & the Banshees
(also the 7" singles released from this period were excellent)
"Dazzle Ships" - OMD (you have to open the gatefold of the import to really appreciate it)
I think all of the above covers were done by Da Gama Studios. In my opinion, they always had great artwork for the record covers they did.

The Mutants--Fun Termanal (for sentamental reasons we used to meet up with our friends at the Fun Termanal accross the the City (SF) on 1st and Brannon accross the street from the Bus Termanal before going to shows up town on Broadway (Mab-Stone-On Brodway) or go to the I-Beam or Omni.)

Television--Marquee Moon (you just know your getting a cool band)

The Selecter--Too Much Presure (Love the 2 tone asthetic)

My favorite Album Cover has to be Tinderbox. Actually, does anyone know anything about the tornado photo? Who took it? What year? I don't think I saw a credit for it on the liners....

i agree--that's a terrific cover ! one of my faves....also, QuiteLife mentioned Duran Duran's 1st original album, BEFORE the addition of "Is There Something...". it had "To The Shore". anyway, that's another favorite classic New Wave album cover. oh my yes !
