The Fixx - "Reach The Beach" and "Walkabout"
Big Country - "The Crossing"
Simple Minds - "New Gold Dream" (despite the religious overtones)
ABC - "The Lexicon Of Love"
Yello - "You Gotta Say Yes To Another Excess"
New Order - "Power, Corruption and Lies"
Duran Duran - "Rio"
A Flock Of Seagulls - "Listening" (cheesy, yes, but a perfect example of the times)

Loads!!!!! Though is difficult to compare a 80's cover with present ones...

Anyway, although I don't like the band especially, I propose "Tusk" from Fleetwood Mac for the "Best Ever LP Cover & Package Award"

Not NW maybe, but two of my favorite album covers were by 80's pop-rocker Martin Briley for his albums "One Night With a Stranger" (anyone remember the song "The Salt In My Tears"?) and "Dangerous Moments". I can't figure out how to attach pictures to these posts (how do you do that anyway?) so I just provided a link to a page that has both covers. It's too bad the pictures aren't larger, I have both LP's and the covers are really cool. The "Dangerous Moments" one is almost like one of those Escher optical illusions though it's hard to tell from such a small picture...
