New Wave songs sung in English & foreign language

Postby ekahob » Wed Apr 21, 2004 8:00 am

New Wave songs sung in both English and a foreign language by the same artist.

I can think of two of the top of my head:
Lene Lovich - "I Think We're Alone Now" sung in Japanese
Blondie - "Sunday Girl" sung in French

Any more?

The Alarm recorded several of their songs in their native language, Welsh. I have a CD single of "Sold Me Down the River" in Welsh.

I have an EP by Joe Jackson on which he does 3 songs from "Night and Day" in Spanish.

Sting recorded several songs from "Nothing Like the Sun" in Spanish and Portuguese, on an EP titled "Nada Como El Sol."
