Sounds like Howard Devoto to me ... something from [b]Jerky Versions of the Dream[/b] perhaps? I never got around to hearing much of the Luxuria stuff, so I can't confirm, but this sounds too early to be anything from that project.

It's Colin Newman from 1981.Name of the album is "A-Z"-Technically,it should have been Wires' 4th album since it had Mike Thorne,Robert Gotobed. etc...Guess this was the beginning when Colin Newman wanted to make a name for himself.I love the LP . I'm not

bowiestation, if you haven't heard Howard Devoto, you're truly missing out. I always liked the "Spiral Scratch" EP he did with the Buzzcocks (now available on CD), and he did great stuff with Magazine, my favorite album of theirs being "The Correct Use o

Your right about Wire being still active ! I dont think Wire made any albums from 1982-1985 I believe.Now, Colin Newman went solo and made a few LP'S till the late 80's.I use to have those.Not anymore unfortunately..some of that material was very good.I'
