Anyone else here? Just wondering, what with Oscars coming up.

I was just rewatching this and recalling the first time when I just 'knew' for some reason that there would be a karaoke scene with New Wave in it, and voila, you've got "Peace Love and Understanding", "Brass in Pocket", "More Than This", and "God Save the Queen." Great stuff.

It also features some nice Kevin Shields tracks in addition to one My Bloody Valentine one. Does this mean they're broken up (for good that is) or was this just something Kevin did for Sophia Coppola?

Wanted to see this one so bad, but couldn't get the sitter squared away, blah blah blah

My Bloody Valentine - - one of the bands to make the 90's bearable. "Soon" easily one of my top 5 90's songs...

Which gives me a brilliant idea for a post....

Definitely one of my favorite films of the past year. According to MOJO magazine, Kevin Shields and a few other members of the band have gone back into the studio to finish some tracks that were originally suppose to be on the Glider ep. He is also rema

I also loved "Lost in Translation". It was nice to see it nominated. Usually all of the intelligent, "arty" films are glossed over in favor of those atrocious, pompous Hollyood epics with scumbag actors with pearly teeth. I hope bill Murray wins, I love h

Any movie that uses Jesus & Mary Chain as the soundtrack to a critical moment is f*cking great by me. Not sure it's best pic of the year worthy, but it's one of the few I saw that I still care about.

I loved the movie and the soundtrack, but, wow, how cool would it be if Bill Murray's "More Than This" was also on the soundtrack?
