HENSONENO: looking for Bill Nelson

Postby KYYX4ever » Fri Aug 06, 2004 9:17 am

Hi, i know you're a fan of Bill Nelson. I've been looking for "Contemplations" (maybe no "s" at the end ? ) by Bill Nelson for years. Am having no luck. Can you tell me what album this is on ? Or someway to get that song ? Is the rest of that album as good as that song ?

Thanks in advance--i LOVE his material, although it is so difficult to find.

I'm a fan also; my computer's near the record collection so this was easy to verify - - it's in my hand as I type - - Contemplation (no 's') is the 2nd song on the lp "On a Blue Wing" on Portrait records, 1986. Can't help with any subsequent CD releases

well, of course I had to PLAY the thing once I had it out....I hadn't in awhile.

You know music is so damn subjective but yeah, I'd say there are absolutely other interesting songs on it. The 1st and last songs on side 2 ("Rise like a fountain" and "P

I'm a huge Bill Nelson fan. Biggest score was the "Sounding The Ritual Echo" box set for $8 including the inserts! Vistamix is a great place to start, The Love That Whirls is (in my opinion) his best work.

Bill Nelson is one of my favourite artists from this period/genre.

The songs offered on "On A Blue Wing" vary somewhat from the tracks on the UK version titled "Getting The Holy Ghost Across".

The US version adds Living For The Spangled Moment and

Contemplation is on disc 1 of 'Duplex'. Great track. The track list significantly overlaps with 'Vistamix'.

There are I think 2 versions of 'Wildest Dreams' on the 12" that have never been on cd too. Also the dub mix of 'Acceleration' which is much bet
