I am 16 so my opinion is some what tainted by some of the bands who named were are unknown to me so they must have not have that much of an impact my bands would be(not in order)

OK then. In the interst of full disclosure... I took up to ten votes per person. Each vote counts equally (i.e., not weighted... some voters listed them in priority order). New Order and Joy Division were combined (someone voted for the combination).

It be really cool to could release a CD compilation called "New Wave Outpost Presents New Wave Legends" are something to that effect. The hard part would be picking a song from each of the top 14 artists. [:D]

I agree with most of the bands that everyone has included in their lists (i.e. Siouxsie, the Police, the Cure, Devo, The Talking Heads, the B-52s, Blondie etc).

But there is one band that I would include on the list although nobody else has: R

Ok, here is my top ten (in no particular order):

1) Hubert Kah/Sandra (My all-time favourite band. Hubert's voice is chillingly good and they wrote or help write most of Sandra's great songs)
