Kirsty McColl Question.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if a music video exists for Kirsty McColl's "A New England." I have never seen or heard of one existing but I know that in preMTV Europe it was very common for musicians to make videos. "A New England" is from 1981 I believe.

If anyone could determine if this video exists and lead me to it, I would be eternally and madly (and a bit creepily) obsessed with you. Hopefully that isn't a deterrent[:o)]

Yeah, it was also done by Billy Bragg but I much prefer Kirsty's version.

It was Billy Bragg's song first. She heard it & felt it could be a big hit for her so she had him write that last verse for her.

This is creepy. I absolutely love the New England song. Did you know she passed away not to long ago in a freak boating accident while on vacation in the Caribbean with her family?

Yeah, I know. Her death was really shocking to me. A really horrific way to die. Apparently her mother is still having a hard time coping with death and is quite active in keeping in touch with her core of die-hard fans (which in Britain, there are many.)
