Thomas Dolby! He had wider range in the sound of his music.+ I never liked Howard Jones hair.

Definitely Thomas Dolby. I always thought of Howard Jones as a more low-rent version of Dolby in the first place. The strengths of both of them was in writing extremly catchy and memorable melodies. But Dolby was exceptional at combining electronic music

I'll cast another vote for Mr. Dolby! I also second the recommendation of "I Love You Goodbye". I think it's his best song.

This is a tough one! "Europa", "She Blinded Me With Science", these are some of my new wave favorites, so I will have to vote for Thomas Dolby, but Howard Jones comes in a close second!

Both are great! I was a big Howard Jones fan as a teenager, thus he gets my vote.

Thomas Dolby! Hands Down! That guy made three really loopy records that gave New Wave a more demented landscape, yet was capable of truly beautiful music, "The Flat Earth" for example.
Howard Jones, I just considered a pop act(a decent one, though).

It may not be cool to do, but I gotta vote for Howard. Granted I've heard more of Jones' music, but the Dolby stuff I've heard has never made me want to seek more. Is pop music so bad, especially when it's done extremely well?

Howard Jones did some pleasant enough upbeat slightly new wavish pop, but Thomas Dolby was a musical genius. So many fantastic and unique songs: Europa, Blinded Me (which some people hate but I still love), One of Our Submarines, Airwaves, Windpower...

Missed out on most of Dolby's stuff in the 80's but bought HJ greatest hits on cd about 10 years ago and its just one hit song after the next one!

Dolby! I liked Jones but not alot of stuff there. Europa! The golden age of wireless was great. Windpower.

Thomas Dolby gets my vote. I liked the wittiness and quirkiness to a lot of his songs, something I never found in Howard Jones's material. Howard Jones's songs seemed ordinary to me, Thomas Dolby's were much more. There is only one song I really like b
