Thomas Dolby or Howard Jones?

I'd call a lot of Dolby's output pop music. Just exceptionally 'good' pop music.

Thomas Dolby hands down as far as I'm concerned. Whilst I enjoy Howard Jones I find Dolby has more depth and thus bears listening to again again and again.

Based on the remarks here, it seems that I need to give Mr. Dolby a second listen to. Personally, I've never been able to get into his music much. Maybe I just haven't heard the right tracks. A friend of mine is a big TD fan, so I'll get the albums mentio

i have been a huge fan since seeing "science" on mtv in 82. or 83? at any rate, dolby made one of my all-time favorite albums, easily in my top 10: "the flat earth." i have never listened to "screen kiss" without getting a little misty

I'm into Howard Jones... ("Everlasting Love" is a good one), but maybe mainly 'coz I haven't been exposed to TD's music that much.

While I love the first two albums by both artists, I would choose Thomas Dolby. "Wireless" is a timeless classic, save the overplayed "Science". I preferred the LP in the original 1982 format, before "Science" and "Submarines" were added to replace the ex

Wow I'm really in the minority here but thoguh I love Europa by Dolby I'm a big Howard Jones fan when compared withthe two.
I saw Howard Jones before I moved out of NY and to me though Human League and Culture Club were on the bill (he went on second)

Definitely a tough call. Although I love Thomas Dolby's first two albums, Howard Jones' have more staying power for me. They sound as good now as the first time I heard them almost 20 years ago. Also - I got a good chuckle that, after HJ played at the

Thomas Dollby gets my vote. Although I find the song "Hyperactive" to be very annoying. Also he produced my favorite Prefab Sprout album "Steve McQueen" AKA "Two Wheels Good" for us in the US.
