We all have favourite vocalists, but sometimes it nice not to hear them. For instance David Sylvians vocal absence from the "Experience of Swimming". Or maybe even the sound of middle east in Duran Duran's "Tel Aviv". What about the aptly named "Instrumental As Anything " by Mental As Anything. Then there almost whole albums like Andrew Duffields "Ten Happy Fingers"

Glad you mentioned Split Enz Mike. They did a bunch of instrumentals, the best of which are Wail, Albert of India and Choral Sea - all great songs.
