I am sure many of you remember this quirky track off the V Deep album, I was wondering if anyone here has the original LP with the lyric insert, reason I ask is because lyrics differ from the actual song. About six lines are not even included in the song but show up on the insert jacket. Does anyone here know what I am talking about.

I know exactly what you're talking about, DevoManiac101. I noticed it immediately when I first played my vinyl copy when I first bought it back in the day many moons ago. I don't know the reason for this, other than thinking that they decided to cut the song shorter than it was meant to be after the album insert was printed. Strangely enough, the extra lyrics also show up on the re-issue of "V Deep" as well.
Incidentally, a similar thing took place with the song "Cities" by Talking Heads, where the lyric sheet to the original album included whole verses not found in the song. When the UK edition of the 12" of "Cities" was released, a live version of the song was on the b-side that included the missing lyrics. Strange, huh?

I vaguely remember that. Usually, when lyrics as sung differ from lyrics as printed on innersleeves and CD booklets, you know, the band copyrighted some early draft of the words, decided to change them after the fact, and did not reapply for a new copyright. Usually it's because the original words threw the song out-of-meter, but sometimes it's more drastic examples, like this.

I would love to hear the version with those misprinted lyrics, if there was one I would think it to be a studio demo track which should have been included on the V Deep remastered CD, nonetheless "Talking In Code" remains my favorite track of the LP
