I missed out on going last year so I made a last minute decision to check the convention out(sunday).
~Pseudo-celebrity sightings:Horatio Sands(of Saturday Night Live fame)and Jim Thirlwell(Foetus). My friend Shannon(there representing Curmudgeon Music)sold Carlos D. of teh Intrapewl one of her cherished Delta 5 pieces of vinyl....but not without getting a handful of lurid pictures of themselves, heh. Athan Maroulis(of Spahn Ranch fame)complimented me on my Klaus Nomi shirt.
~unintentionally found and excitedly purchased Boston-based Tribe's debut EP which was released in '87. The brilliant full length album didn't see the light of day 'til '90/'91.
~Record to make note of:Rainy Day which was a project circa '84 that featured the talents of both Kendra Smith and the Bangles' Susanna Hoffs.
I exercised incredible restraint and parted with a mere 5 dollars. I could've easily spent 20 times that amount.
"No telling what keeps me awake."
