If you've never looked further into Alphaville than Forever Young and Big in Japan, you really should. They are still putting out amazing music. I listen to tons of music, especially with 18 years of Dj experience, and their singer Marian Gold still, even at 50, has one of the best voices I've heard in popular music.

I agree fully. But would add... one of the best UNHEARD and UNSEEN voices in popular music. Where's the video compilation dvd, and the cd box set??? I sincerely hate whoever is in charge of making those decisions. Alphaville/Marian Gold deserve much better press than that. Go to hell whoever you are!

It's a pity that Die Zwei are not re-released and almost forgotten by now, to me they were one of the most innovative NDW bands ever and I would love to have them in my collection. Unfortunately, I only have a bad tape recording of "Einsamkeit..." and "Country Boy". Shame that they did not release a CD!

just one more little fact about Die Zwei. They did a Peel session in 1984, and besides the Strass brothers, Holger Hiller was credited for guitar. Also the band was known as 'Die Zwei At The Rodeo'. Hmmm.

btw I found an mp3 of Grapsch! (Communist Party mix) if anyone's interested. Vinyl quality, of course.
