OK party people, Club 05 was sent out this morning - check your mailboxes in the next few days [;)]

And Zalasta - whoa - Astrud Gilberto on the last disc? Let me put it this way: I was born about 2 decades too late to meet and marry that woman so she could sing to me all day and night. I LOVE ASTRUD. Good discs overall, lots of goodies. Pixies, Smiths, Jesus & Mary Chain, the Church and lots of new ones for me like Jorane, Polara, Scarce - 2 great discs dude, THANX!

marv,
today, after a crappy day at school (I guess it wasn't that bad...the kids' atttitudes are just getting to me), I come home to find the newest Marvymarv comp...and it looks great! I can't wait to listen to it. You obviously put a lot of thought into your mixes and ti shows!

I LOVED CLUB 04 ! Every single song, as a matter of fact. I LOVE the mixes on Moby's "We Are All Made of Stars", Chemical Brother's "Star Guitar", Fatboy's "I See You Baby", Chili Hi Fly's "Is It Love", Daft Punk's "Digital Love", and pretty much all the rest--those are just the ones that stand out. And I adore both "Blue Monday" and Kylie's "Can't get You Out of My Head", so this mashup is awesome. I am impressed, and amazed. Thanks so much, sweetymarv![:X]

Hey thanx Kyyx [:)] Glad you like my mixes! I have loads of fun doing them and am more than happy to share them with people who dig 'em.

BTW, the Buffalochipz mix, Aussies & Kiwis sure is a nice colection of beauties. The Church's Myrrh, Nick Heyward, Go Betweens, Shona Laing's Glad I'm Not A Kennedy (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this song), Single Gun Theory, Dead Can Dance....lots of new goodies I never heard of either also. Good job as always dude [;)]

Whoa, sorry about that Marie. I'll have a new disc go out on Monday for you. Why am I getting the sick feeling that I sent everyone a blank CD by mistake.....

Everybody, please let me know if you got blanks. I'll send new ones right away. [B)]

Marv, recieved your new club cd, but there is a hole in it! (besides the hole that should be there) actually it's the silvery paint flaking off the top, so I can't play the first 7 songs...any chance I can get another copy?

Randy, another outstanding mix, maybe your best yet! Thank You!!!

marv, your last CD is definately NOT a Blank. Your mixes get better and better. I LOVE the Stardust songs, The Lovebite, Phats & Small, Basement Jaxx (I always liked this song, but didn't have it, and didn't know it was Basement Jaxx, either! So that is doubleplusgood), "Take Your Time", & "Don't Give Up" by Chicane. All awesome. The Moog remix by Air is fantastic and a fun homage to the recently departed Moog. And how many remixes can there be of that damn Suzanne Vega song? I never liked that song, but perhaps if it had come out as the version which you included, I would have liked it better. So, good inclusion all around. You put a lot of thought into your mixes and it shows!

Marv--I love your 05 mix. Another outstanding mix from the man who is a master of the cross-faded segue. I love The Lovebite song so much--I'm glad you included it twice! I also especially like the last few songs. Very cool, Marv! Thanks!

Funny thing about that. I meant to include the Lovebite on my last mix but forgot so I guess I subconsciously overcompensated by using it twice in this mix. I was so pissed that I forgot it last time! I love, love, love that song. "Take Your Time". What's even MORE curious is that I cued it up to come in and fade out at the EXACT SAME MOMENTS. BOTH TIMES. Whoa, freaky [:p]

I've been WAY overdue in publicly thanking Marvy for his FIVE - count 'em, 5 - mix CDs. Each one if a party on a plate. And it must take a shitload more effort to mix and speed match these transitions than one of my ole' "toss into iTunes" CDs. Great job.

I'll put this out here because 'tis the season. Anyone who wants a copy of my Christmas Swing cd, drop me an email. Also, if you really want it & don't have a cd to share - that's fine.

It's all traditional stuff (no new wave,) so I know it's not for everyone. It includes quite a bit of older and modern swing, some cocktail styled stuff, and a few slowed down classics. Since I don't listen to the radio I'm not sure how overplayed any of the songs are...

Included are Matt Dusk, Brian Setzer, Andrews Sisters, Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Jackie Gleason, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, etc.
