Cat Stevens?

Postby tunepeg35 » Mon Nov 14, 2005 6:52 am

Did anyone hear he's releasing a new record! I personally love the singer/songwriter legends of the late 60's and early 70's and i believe Cat is long overdue for a revival. Anyways his website at catstevens.com has all the details and where to get this new cd. Cant wait! Anyone else getting it?

Eh. Not a big fan. I guess he's better than Gordon Lightfoot.

He's turned into quite the extremist too. He was quite outspoken about wanting Salman Rushdie killed for writing The Satanic Verses.

Oh yeah I love the guy! I usually listen to his music while getting root canal. He sounds like a bag full of cats. By the way, welcome to THE NEW WAVE OUTPOST. New Wave that is.

<br> I think "Peace Train" is a great song.
I remember back when he announced being
a Muslim around the time of the "hostage crisis"
Events were held at sports stadiums where people
would burn Cat Stevens records.
This guy thinks what he said was mis-quoted:

Well, I gotta give you points on that one.

To clarify-- I certainly don't believe all Muslims are extremists. It's like saying all xtians are in the KKK.

But yeah, Cat Stevens is one of the nutbars.

And I hate his crap music.

And the crap music of Gordon Lightfoot.
