dj:

I've got a few copies (3) of this, but I'm not sure if any are the remixes you want, any idea how long the remix is?

**edit** OK, I've had a look and I have the lp (Voice of Reason) the 12" import of Someone Like You, and a U.S. remix 12".

The 12" import lists the song at 3:57
The U.S. remix lists the song at 4:10,(Extended Version) with the B side (Album Version) at 3:57
The lp lists the song at 4:10!!

If you can't find the U.S. remix, get a U.S. pressing of Voice of Reason. (CD also available on eBay)

Now, are there other mixes...good question, that I don't know.

Hope this helps you...it confuses me.

Eight6,

Have you had a chance to listen and compare? It is very odd that the remix and album would be the same length.

I also noticed that there is a remix for another track from them called SOMETIMES, I have this album but now I'm curious if the single is longer than the album. Haahaha, oh well, I guess I'll just take a stab at the album version and see if that's the same.

Not lately, but if memory serves I think the difference is only that the longer version fades out more slowly. I'm waiting for a new pre amp from an eBay auction (should arrive this week) so I'll check and get back to you once I know for sure.

BTW, I've got a few other songs that have about a 5 to 10 second difference between the single and the extended versions, so it's not all that odd come to think of it.

I've had a listen to both, and the only difference is in the beginning. There is a bit more intro on the longer version, as well as the vocals seem to have a bit more echo, but that's it.

Thanks Eight6,

I ended up just buying the album off Ebay like you suggested. You just saved me a bunch of cashola cause the single always goes for a great deal more. I'll just do my own remix, hahahaha.
