I'm a big fan too since their first split Lp' with The Bizarros
who is realeased in 1977 on Klone records
The bands have realesed two legendary singles [ one with a Nerves cover ] in total diy way after the band moving in 79 in La and a track on the La in a compiltion where the cover is a parody of the Alien one movie
Just after the band realesed their great Lp' on capitol with a great sex pistols cover " pretty vacant " on it
Thats incredible but the Rubber city rebels are back since 2003 with a great Lp called " pierce my brain " on smog veil records for the u.s and on munster records for the europe and this new Lp its absolutely great for the fans of 76 83 bands

I like the Rubber City Rebels but have a hard time taking them seriously. They seemed like bandwagon jumpers to me. Covering The Nerves and The Sex Pistols on their major-label album did nothing to change my opinion. The new album has a few good songs,
