Loved her music and her looks period. She didn't last very long at least over here in the states. But she did have a bunch of hits overseas, like in the UK and everywhere else. She is my second favorite female New Wave artist of all time.I know some of you are going to say that she was never really New Wave, well all I know is that the Trouser Press Guide To New Wave has her in their books.I always looked at Kim as being a New Wave singer.Plus, not very long ago she was on that Here And NOw Tour with other New Wave artists.
To quite a few people Kim has always been looked at as nothing more than an 80's New Wave singer that drew a line in the sand between New Wave and Bubblegum, and when I say Bubblegum I don't mean the 60's style of Bubblegum. What I mean is like the Stock,Aitken Waterman kind of Bubblegum.Along with Kylie Minogue as well.
Well I can see how alot of people put Kylie in that catagory back in the 80's,but nowadays she has more of a New Wave Techno style and sound, and she has really gone past that Stock Aitken Waterman Bubblegum image from the 80's and really has moved on.
