Terri Nunn VS Deborah Harry

New Wave/Punk music, culture, genres, memories. '80s revivalism and other relevant topics.

I love Berlin and Terri Nunn but Debbie at her peak 78-80, had an amazing style and a real edge to her look that is still unmatched today. I always think of Debbie as the queen and Terri as the starlet or princess, if that makes any sense.

And I always think of Terri as looking like she'd been dipped in used cooking oil.

Next stop Skankville!!

If she had stuck with Punk music, there'd be no match, but cutting Disco music and being a Playboy bunny isn't my idea of being "edgy". Good eye-candy is one thing, but Terri was, and still is, the better-looking of the two. Compare the Blondie of 10-15 years ago and Terri looks better today.

By that standard Terri falls off the "edgy" too - she starred in the Disco movie Thank God it's Friday, and I believe she did a Penthouse spread.

You might want to do a search of this board for further "details". That is if you are 18 years or older. [:p]

Terri was never Punk. She's always been good eye-candy and guilty pleasure[:p] If Deb would've stuck with Punk, there'd be an edge, but now that she's on the level with Terri doing mag spreads and Disco... there's no competition. Wendy O has both beat, though[}:)]

It's the whipped cream & electrical tape that gives her the edge isn't it?

This is like trying to compare Eva Longoria with Kelly Monaco. Kelly, much like Terri, is 101,235,756 better because of the mag spreads instead of the usual cocktease schtick, which was the rage back in the 80s... 1880s![8D]

Holy shit! Did you kids know that Terri was only 16 when she posed for Penthouse?! She didn't even look 16! What did her parents feed her that she looked like a woman all of the sudden? Anyway, THAT's edge. Stuff like that could not be made nowadays. Those were crazy times. The Disco thing is forgiven all of the sudden.

This saddens me. Terri is undoubtedly gorgeous, but Deborah in her prime (not to mention her vastly superior contribution to the music) WINS HANDS DOWN. Ahhh, Deborah Harry. I would still crawl through a mile of broken glass just to be mistreated by her.

When I was a flowering teen, Deborah was my fantasy girl supreme.

Well, we are referring to who's hawttest. If we're talking about women who had a lot of influence in music, then, yes, Debbie got there way ahead of Terri. You can't really fault Terri for that, though, as she is younger and, naturally, got to the scene later.

WENDY O[:0][}:)][:p] Either her or Dale were some of my first introductions to the female form in those days.

In that case, what I'm sayng is that Debbie was SO hot back in the day that her hotness supescedes the hotness of all others, in perpetuity.

I dig Wendy O. too but I thought Dale looked like a skanky Bozio. Though I got a big soft spot for some Missing Persons.

Sorry but slutty little Terri with the stretched out face is the imitator NOT the originator.

Also has to be said I've seen both women in concert and Debbie is the classier act & is a natural. She doesn't have to tongue down the first 3 rows of the audience & get felt up by them to get them going. Terri Nunn was disgusting. I thought I'd get herpes just watching that skank on stage.
