Big Leggy?

I was just listening to some music on random play. Gang of Four - To Hell With Poverty came back to back with Killing Joke - Follow the Leader.

Two great songs, followed by...Haysi Fantaysee - John Wayne is Big Leggy. What the hell? Can anyone explain this song to me? Or is it just random babbling? I can best describe this as Culture Club on speed. Although I have to admit buying a Haysi Fantaysee record back in the day, these guys are one of the acts that to me signified the looming death of new wave (if it wasn't already dead).

Or maybe I am too stunned to appreciate some deeper meaning?

Unfortunately I don't remember the story behind JWIBL...
I know that Shiny Shiny is supposedly about the threat of nuclear war.

Why do people compare them to Culture Club.
The only thing simular are the dreadlocks & some early Culture Club dress.
And George & Jeremy were childhood friends.

I don't think New Wave died in 1982.

Haysi Fantayzee's music means absolutely NOTHING. It is the Seinfeld of 80s fashion music.

At one time I had the "John wayne is big leggy" video. It was country western themed, and made no more sense than the song.

I had always assumed that Haysi Fantayzee was from some non-English speaking country because their lyrics made so little sense. I figured it was ignorance, not design. [:I]

By any chance does anyone have the lyrics to "Sister Friction"? I used to have that song on a compilation album and loved it. Seems hard to find nowadays. I could never figure out what they were saying, though! Except for "Sister Friction, love addiction..."
