Thanks. Love those Nesmith originals. Feel obliged to play Hendrix right after that since he opened for The Monkees on that '67 tour (at least the first few shows).

I just spoke with Mr Ghosty himself! Nice guy, and very dedicated to WFDU (he came in about 7 hours early and is spending the night there, rather than deal with the blizzard of 05 (which, although it's going strong right now is supposed to get much worse tonight with more snow and 50 mph wind).

I'd post on NWO if we had a computer in the on-air studio. It was taken out. Too many DJ's were looking at porn all night long. I was kept awake by phone calls. There were some people (with pretty good taste) who kept requesting things all night (Captain Sensible's version of "Relax"? I did'nt even know he covered it!). It's coming up on 4:15 now and I'm STILL HERE! 'Aint going anywhere apparantly.

Well, we only got as far as Bernard Sumner. I don't think anyone was fooled (heh heh) but I hope we got the point across...and this week was'nt quite the disaster that last week was. Next week we may have to resort to breaking out the Hip Hop records.

On the plus side: Has anyone heard Elkland's "Apart"? The remix on the CD single. It's like vintage New Order! Make a note of that, Kimiiii!

Well, the old rule goes like this "For every one person that calls in, that's 100 listeners who are'nt calling in." Generally I get about 10 calls a week (mainly for requests or say hello)in that 2 hour slot. Probably does'nt sound like a lot but I'm starting to notice that our listeners are between the ages of 25 and 45 and the age bracket just is'nt expanding. I think that most of the younger generation coming up is just not into this kind of music any more, at least in the NYC/NJ area. They've all been weened on Hip Hop and Pop and have no connection to or frame of reference for classic New Wave/Modern Rock/Alternative. Sad.
