Shame on me: I've never heard that SNL song.

I like Alison Moyet's Coventry Carol, though it's not one of the choices.

Also, is it now, officially, the White House Christmas Tree, or is it still the White House Holiday Tree? Why not the Kwaanza Tree? Or, the Winter Solstice Tree?

Bandaid does it for me. I do like George Michael's Last Christmas though.

[/quote]I know this really belongs in the NNNW forum but I read that House Speaker Denny Hastert recently <a href="http://www.taemag.com/issues/articleID.18854/article_detail.asp" target="blank">'Officially'</a> Re-Christened the Whitehouse holiday tree as a 'Christmas' tree.
Guess that legislative wisdom ranks up there with 'make'em freedom ..aw heck..better change'em back to french fries'
oh, and your wise-assishness is always welcome MAS.[}:)][;)]

There's tons more I've got in my new wave/alt christmas folder, classic covers and originals:

Pretenders - Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
Smashing Pumpkins - Christmastime
Spongtones - Christmasland
Durutti Column - One Christmas for Your Thoughts
Payolas - Christmas is Coming
Half Man Half Biscuit - All I Want for Christmas is a Dukla Prague Away Kit
Ramones - Merry Christmas (I don't wanna fight tonight)
Cyndi Lauper - Early Christmas Morning
Revillos - Santa Claus is Coming to Town
Eurythmics - Winter Wonderland
Housemartins - I Smell Winter
Aztec Camera - Walk Out to Winter

And even, gads, the aforementioned Last Christmas by Wham.

Wow, thanks a bunch for that link Dave! Speaking of Saturday Night Live, remember the Adam Sandler thing?

I like those songs a lot Dave.

Also love, "Welcome Christmas" by Lovespirals.

"Jingle Bell Rock" is cute.

David Bowie and Bing Crosby's version of Drummer Boy (Joan Jett too) even though that song annoys me.
