Rheingold - 'Fan Fan Fanatic.' At least I've never seen it on CD. Maybe it came out in Germany on CD.

the last one you can obtain on the rerelease cd of Rheingold - Der Fan (Filmsoundtrack), can be bought via amazon.de just type in rheingold + you'll find it, costs about 10 EURO

Nice page with all the differences from "Rio" for those who care:

Wow, thanks for the link. Quite interesting. I had no idea so many versions existed of these songs. I have the cassette, the album, and the CD, as well as other radio/ downloading versions, but this is a good clearinghouse for all the differences!

Go Four 3 - Just Another Day

Go Four 3 were a great band (judged by their album "Six Friends"). It's too bad Zulu doesn't re-release this (onto CD) as I think the tracks would do well today, if properly promoted.

Geez - I didn't realize there were so many versions of "Save A Prayer" either, or of all the other ones for that matter. The differences are very subtle between that one and the "single" version but I'm partial to the original.

Thanks for the offer NuWaveRx! I've actually got them both myself ripped from my vinyl collection but I figured it couldn't hurt to have them without any crackling or popping (my vinyl cleaning software is good but nothing's perfect). I think I have all of the Vitamin Z tracks either on vinyl or downloaded. And you're right, the remix IS outstanding! One of my favorite "roll up the windows, crank up the stereo and pretend I can sing" songs.

There's a version of Depcehe Mode's "Strangelove" that used to be played consistently on Houston's top 40 stations circa 1990-1991 that I think is vastly superior to any mix on any of their CDs/singles. I can't find it ANYWHERE. I even e-mailed the top 40 stations and they couldn't help me. I've tried all the proper CD singles that were released. Nothing. It's probably on some radio promo CD. I have a copy of it on some old cassette tape I have back in the early 90s when I used to record songs off the radio. I'll need to make a sound byte of it or something so I can get some DM-buff to give me the actual name of the mix. It seems like a cross between that one mix that starts off with the siren and maybe the Maxi-Mix.

Time was on my side for so long, 'til it said "so long" to me.

- Get It Out Of Your Head album by The Art Company (anyone else remember their one hit, "Susanna"?[:)] ).

- I think Poesie Noire did release some of their stuff on cd, but I cannot find any of their albums on cd nowadays[V]

- Girl On A Train e.p. by Rialto

- The rest of the stuff I can't get is non-New Wave Italian and Spanish albums... Jula DePalma, Carlos Mata, Sabu, etc.

I have 3 Slow Children mp3's if you are interested:
Springtime in Fialta (extended Mix)
Vanessa Vascillating
President Am I

They aren't the greateset quality but at least 128
Let me know and maybe I can post them in the mp3 trading forum.

Also, Hexicon- Are you referring to Red Dress a band or Song? Red Dress by The Elvis Brothers was an 80's song that received some airplay on 91X but not much and that's the only thing I can think of.

Yeah, why not it would be great but let me check something...Yesterday, I was in 6Underground watching The Late Isabel, Wawi the vocalist is cute and sounds like Siouxsie and I think a friend of mine got a Blue Zoo album from the States. I only saw the back of the cover but it could be Two by Two, what else? Tomorrow there is a New Wave night in Pop's Up Bar, I think he will be going and I will ask him.[:)]

Do you have any Late Isabel tracks on mp3? I've never heard any song from them. In fact, I'm missing out on a lot of NW local bands. I'm actually based in Dubai (7 yrs now) so I'm not really kept abreast of whatever's going on there...[B)]
