Is Ambient New Wave & do you like it?

Eno kinda started it...Kraftwerk touch on it, Bill Nelson is good at it, David Sylvian gives a lot to it, Laurie Anderson uses it well, The Cocteau Twins & Andy Patridge have ventured into it with Harold Budd, Is ambient music a part of new wave?, do you like it?, and if so what, and by whom?[;)]
