Does anyone like Sparks? And if so can you name some of your favorite songs and albums by them? I will get this thread moving since I am the one who started it.Here are my pics and favorites.

Favorite Sparks albums
1.Whomp That Sucker(For sure it is their best album,at least I think so) I love the songs The Willys,Tips For Teens,Upstairs,Funny Face,Wacky Women,and Where's My Girl.

2.Sparks In Outer Space-Songs I liked alot from this album are the following.

When Do I Get To Sing My Way?

I heard that their last album was more along the lines of Rap and Hip Hop meet Heavy Metal,so this would be their first album that I won't buy.What is wrong with Ron and Russell now? They have been excellent for years,and one of my favorite bands too, and now they want to jump on the Scritti Politti bandwagon? Oh boy.I say Scritti Politti because they too also sold out a few years ago as well to Rap and Hip Hop.What is the world coming to?

Please post some of your favorite Sparks albums and songs too if you have any.By the way I also like alot of what The Gleaming Spires put out a long time ago as well.Such as "Are You Ready For The Sex Girls? A Christian's Girls Problems,and Big Surprise.

I've always been fond of "Mickey Mouse", "All You Ever Think About", and the let's-face-it-it's-catchy "Cool Places".

LOVE! The Sparks. I'll second Kimono My House and Happy Hunting Ground. Their live appearance on Saturday Night Live is CLASSIC.

I don't know where you got your shoddy info, but the newest Sparks CD, Lil Beethoven is certainly not rap or metal related. Buy it, it may be the best thing they've ever done. It certainly has Ron's best keyboard work on it. And myirwin, Sparks is certain

A big Sparks fan, myself. It's hard to pick favorite songs. My favorite albums were the ones I got when in high school...Angst in My Pants, Sparks in Outer Space and Pulling Rabbits Out of a Hat. Off the top of my head:

I was wondering when we were going to discuss Sparks. I like the post-Moroder stuff the best, but I've got a few early albums. In the 70's they were a weird glam rock art band, in the 80's they were a great synth-heavy pop band.

Oglio put out all of their albums on cd. I understand that they are no longer in print now. All You Ever Think About Is Sex is my favorite.

Skinnytie, you aren't missing much. Introducing Sparks is a terrible album, easily their worst. My friend has it on vinyl, so that's how I heard it.
