Not to be a joykill Ape, but all those albums you posted are available in all their remastered glory. I'm a bit nervous about this gray area we're entering with sharing whole albums of in-print material. Just my 2 cents.

Point well taken Blir..
In the interest of staying off the RIAA radar screens, let's stick with OoP releases folks!

Even though I've benefited by this, I have to agree. Now that I have some of YMO music, I ordered several of their albums thru a local record store(Disc Exchange). I'll be more careful in the future. I would hate to be the one to ruin a good thing like this site. Off topic: Any recommendations that are currently avaliable on cd? And please no compilations. I hate spending 10-15 dollars just to get one or two tracks I want.

I absolutely agree! (although I'm guilty of doing it!, but then I became a little apprehensive when the rest started doing it too! LOL). ... I also think the whole albums would be better shared through the hub or soulseek. It would be good enough if we can just upload a couple of outstanding tracks here for sampling purposes.

er...SORRY!

You have a good point. In the future I'll limit myself to one or two songs or OOP items. (I thought some of this YMO was OOP too, but should have checked.)

I sure don't wanna bring THE MAN down on this great board and its proceedings. I was just caught up in the zeal of wanting to share stuff....

However, the Wall of Voodoo album I posted IS OOP if that's any consolation...

Not to be a further buzzkill, but just because an album's OOP doesn't mean it's in the Public Domain. Somebody still owns the copyright on those songs and believe me, the publishers will come down harder than the RIAA... Publishers can still presumably exploit the works and make some money from them.

Be vigilant!
