The Boomtown Rats

Postby Chris849205 » Tue Dec 06, 2005 8:43 am

Hi all, first time posting here, actually discovered this great site by accident! I was just reading through some of the posts and I was wondering if anyone else was at the Boomtown Rats gig in Leixlip Castle in Kildare around 1980? I was lucky enough to get 2 free tickets from a neighbour, Bob Doyle, (who will live forever for his kindness!) Myself and my shadow Beano Brady went and had the best time ever, loads of free gargle, & just a little free loving....[}:)]
If there's anyone left alive who can remember that far back, fill in the blanks..
Thanks for your attention, regards, C.[;)]

Hello Chris and welcome aboard.I also can,t help you with your gig question but I did see them play at our local University in 82(best Iv,e seen) and wish they would reunite. There were other Irish bands I wish had been better exposed in Canada such as the Blades.
