The Golden Palominos were all about guest vocalists and team-ups... I've always liked "Omaha" and "Boy (Go)" with Michael Stipe at vocals, from Visions of Excess.
Bananarama teamed up with Fun Boy Three for "It Ain't What You Do (It's the Way that You Do it)", and then the other way around for "Really Saying Something." I remember the latter song getting lots of play on MTV.
Another goodie:
"Fairytale of New York" The Pogues with Kirsty MacColl
Bob Geldof's Band Aid was a pretty hefty team-up
Elvis Costello sang one line in Squeeze's "Tempted." Does that count?
REM and Kate Person "Shiny Happy People" No, sir, NOT A FAVORITE
For the kiddies:
Tim Finn and the Wiggles "Six Months in a Leaky Boat"
I can't believe I can't think of any more...
