My pick would be "Your Country" by Graham Parker. His voice may be a bit more gravelly, but his songwriting is still as sharp as ever. I enjoyed the country bluesy rootsy sound of the album, and knowing that Graham Parker can still pen and perform a great rocking tune with the best of them.

What are your picks and recommendations? Let's hear!

Without a doubt it's Modest Mouse "Good News for People Who Like Bad News." I can't stop playing. My husband can't stop playing it. The kid can't stop playing it. And everytime we play it at our music store, we sell a copy. Great Music + Great Sales = fav

Actually, I have to give kudos to Modest Mouse for having a bonus track on the vinyl release instead of on the CD. [:)]

This is a hard one to answer as I have not paid close attention to the new stuff coming out this year. I am so busy just buying all of the reissues and remasters that are coming out in droves. Also, I am tired of hearing bands like Switchfoot, Puddle

Hmmm..toss up between Franz Ferdinand and Modest Mouse.

The new Morrissey is growing on me...slowly.

I thought the last album by The Strokes was pretty darn good too. Much better than their debut. I guess I was the only one. It dropped off the chart

I'd have to go along with Franz Ferdinand and Modest Mouse. They are both in heavy rotation in my player these days.

As for the new Morrissey disc I'm still undecided. I thought the first single was pretty good, but I think he has lost is edge lyrica
