I remember KIQQ used to play this ALL the time. I was so amazed that this song sounded so good live. I've never been a Duranie, but I like this song.

Predictable as it is, those are some great chunes. Besides, I'm just as predictable... Roxy Music. The whole album [i]Heart Still Beating[/i], esp. when they hit Neil Young's "Like A Hurricane". That's the kind of thing you raise all the way to ten and wish it could go to 20![8]

Bauhaus' live recording of "Bela Lugosi's Dead" on Press The Eject... was spectacularly better than the studio version. The studio version is good but it sounds much too compressed and, well, studio-like. The live version is so spacious-sounding, like they had an extra guitarist or two on stage. The live version is the one used for "The Hunger" soundtrack.

I saw Gabriel perform "Biko" live in support of "So." I believe it was the same year (1986) as the Amnesty Intl concerts. It was a phenonmenal performance.

I agree with design femme on Strangler's "Golden Brown, " and would like to add Depeche Mode's live version of "Policy of Truth."

I have to say U2's "Bullet The Blue Sky" is very powerful in concert...when I saw them in 2001, they had an image of a little girl, probably about 2 or 3 years old, going into a paper bag and pulling out a handgun while there was a voice-over of Charlton Heston was giving one of his right to bear arms speeches. Once the image faded, they moved into Bullet the Blue Sky....it was great!
