I heard it once - ONCE - on Dr. Demento and loved it. Cannot find anything else about it. Anyone know?

Sorry, I don't have "Red M+M's", but here is a song by a band in which Bianca "Flystrip" Miller was a part of. The band was called "Pianosaurus". This song is from 1987 and it is played completely on toy instruments that were available in toy stores at the time. Very cool!

Where does the "flystrip" come from? Is it a reference to a band?
