Great song! I liked "Romantic Dreams" off of their album.

The 4 and a half minute one is the album version. 3 and a half minute was indeed the single/video edit (thanks Rubbeet), although I seem to remember hearing the longer cut on the radio. The edit also appears on the B-side of the U.S. pressing of their '84 single "What Have I Got to Lose?" (It was released concurrently with "Stranger to Stranger" and went nowhere.)

As difficult as it is to watch, I'd go so far as to say the message conveyed is VERY pertainent to todays dillemas overseas (as NuWaveRx pointed out), which leads to my next question: Where can I get one of those white jumpsuits?

Thanks for the video -- I've never seen that before. Interesting that the name of the album title is "Rock art and the x-ray style" -- that is a Joe Strummer album. Industry's album was called "Stranger to Stranger" so I wonder why the videoo says "Rock art and the x-ray style"?

That "Rock Art and the X-Ray Style" titling error is on probably 100+ videos in MTV's library. Back in early 2000 when MTV2 was showing their entire video library back-to-back, I noticed this quite a bit.

I love this song, I had forgotten about it and malibu Sue played it when she was on in the morning on WLIR a couple years back when they let her play anything, then a week later they went back to playing the same 5 80's songs like they do now

Thanks for the video Rubbeet. I love those cheesy 80's videos!

GlitteringPrize, if you call Sue at Island 9.43 when she does her lunchtime 80's show, she will play anything you want IF they have it. (They don't have everything you call for) It's worth a try if you want to hear something special.

Rubbeet,
THANKS so much for posting that video!
This used to be pretty much my favourite video back then. I just loved the melody, the dancing ensigns, those cool white jumpsuits, all the dry ice fog...watching it now, it's totally cheesy, but after a moment I couldn't get a grin off my face. I always thought those guys were dreamy, too. ha ha ha ...
