I wanted to know myself so I just counted them:
1374 full-length CDs virtually all new wave, punk, post punk and all-around "alternative." Alphabetically starts with ABC-Absolutely and ends with John Zorn-Naked City--plus all the compilations, samplers

CDs...at least a thousand, I should think. That's not counting burns. Burns don't count, to me.

I was MUCH sicker about vinyl than I am today.

Until I sold a bunch of my LPs off (to buy a house), I had around 35,000.

Now:
LPs-7500-8000 60% Alternative from '76-'92
7" 45's- About 3500, from the 1950's to present
12" Singles-About 2,000
