UK Vision

Anyone remember an electro outfit circa 83 called UK Vision...we danced our asses off to their video "Lucifer's Friend" back then...

Any info on the group? I have the track downloaded but there's practically zilch info-wise on the band...

Cheers!

Found this over on the 80sxchange board, posted by the mysterious Owl-Kat:

I'm a newbie here and found the site whilst searching for information on the group Vision.

I live in Sheffield, England and Vision were a local group for me and I followed them for a few years buying all the singles that I knew were released

i.e Lucifers Friend, Love dance, Tears Idle tears / Lucifers friend (new recording with new vocalist), Who's that Stranger, Calling of the wild and Under my thumb (Cover of Rolling Stones).

I was lucky enough to see them live twice and still have a recording of one of those live gigs which was broadcast at a later date on my local radio station (Radio Hallam but now called Hallam FM) which was from 1st September 1984 (I remember the date as it was my birthday).

The 2nd time I saw them live was whilst they were opening a record shop in their home town of Rotherham when they also released the AA single Tears idle tears / Lucifers friend (new recording) for which I still have in my collection and was autographed by the group.

Anyhow, anyone want any info on their recordings I'd be happy to help if I can.

I have a blurb about them in one of the Vision 7"ers I have. I'll scan and post it a bit later tonight. They also did a song called Love Dance that received a fair bit of play here in Toronto.
