Among the nominations for the Feb 2006 Grammy Awards...

Category 12 - Best Dance Recording
Guilt Is A Useless Emotion
New Order
New Order & Stuart Price, producers; New Order & Stuart Price, mixers
Track from: Waiting For The Sirens' Call
[Warner Bros. Records]

Category 13 - Best Electronic/Dance Album
Minimum-Maximum
Kraftwerk
[Astralwerks]

Category 18 - Best Metal Performance
The Great Satan
Ministry
Track from: Rantology
[Sanctuary]

Category 19 - Best Rock Instrumental Performance
Beat Box Guitar
Adrian Belew
Track from: Side One
[Sanctuary]
Birds Of Prey
Stewart Copeland
Track from: Orchestralli
[Ponderosa]

But of course with stuff like Burt Bacharat, Paul McCartney, and Robert Plan, it could be ANY year I guess. God I hate the Grammys...

If Sting or Bono farted into a ziploc bag, it would get nominated for a dozen awards.

When that stops happening, I will begin to respect the Grammys.

PS. That gave me a great idea. Expect a ziploc along with your mix CD.

I'm Glad that Kraftwerk is up for a nomination...It's about time!
I like Adrian Belew he is such a kick-ass guitar player. And Ministry has a sound all it's own, Ministry is it's own category, there is no other band like them. I applaud Al jurgensen Did you know he is Cuban? What is it with not liking Bono?? I might actually watch that show.[:)]

I have never even watched the grammys since 1979...Some of you may remember that was the year the best new artist category included Elvis Costello, Taste Of Honey (Boogie Oogie Oogie) and The Cars. Who won? Taste Of Honey of course. And why not they went on to create the hit Sukiyaki and then....

...and who the hell was that Elvis Costello anyway?!!
