I grabbed all the tracks and I'm floored! I really like this album, whoever it's by. I wish I could offer some insight but I'm stumped. I'll spread it around and see if anyone knows anything.

I agree with Ollie, As I said earlier goutroy: I'd kill for a copy of this, moreso now after hearing the whole lp. At least 5 fantastic songs! (I can do without Square Dance)
I did find a group with a song titled "Nun with a Gun". Their name was "Hidious in Strength"... I know, but that's how they spell it. Anyway, they released a bunch of cassettes from 83 to 86 on Inner-X Musick. Not sure if they are the ones, but in reading about them their music is described as cold-wave/industrial. It sort of fits.

Actually, that was the first thing I thought too. My friend has the "Oblique Compilation" on Inner-X that has the Hideous in Strength song "Nun With a Gun" - it's more avant garde industrial, like Sleep Chamber or Psychic TV, etc. It was actually at that point that I decided to post on here and try to identify it.

SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!
I'm positive. Definitely. After listening to a song called I Like Smog by the band Food and Shelter on he compilation Radio Tokyo Tapes vol II, as well as the live version of a song called Current Events by Food and Shelter on the "Lives of Lhasa" compilation, I am positive that the unknown band is none other than Food and Shelter, a band whose album I've been looking for for a while! I guess I need look no further. The music and the vocals are absolutely, positively, EXACTLY the same (although neither of the aforementioned songs appear on the Unknown LP I have). Furthermore, the Radio Tokyo Tapes LP says that Food and Shelter appear courtesy of "Resistance Records". The cat# in the matrix runoff of my unknown LP starts with "RR". Even more furthermore, if that makes sense, is that the RT Tapes sleeve also says the song was published by Shakti Music. The matirx words "Om nah Mah Shiviya" are from Indian chants. Furthermore yet again, I have a couple other Resistance Records albums, including 17 Pygmies' Captured in Ice, which was also manufactured at K Disc and has a similar Cat #, RR-0946
So, anyway, there you go... I will be shortly cleaning and re-ripping all the songs for your pleasure!
Does anyone else have this LP? Was it ever officially released? Is anyone else as excited as I am about this? I am trying to find contact information for the group, bu haven't turned up anything at all. The members were Russell Jessum (who established the Anti Club in LA), Fey Ruza, and Debbie Spinelli. All 3 members were also in 17 Pygmies at one time or another.
edited to say: this Resistance records is NOT the white power label. It's a private label created by 17 Pygmies.

Super80boy here, nice work Goutroy. Food & Shelter is very rare indeed. I've been hunting for their LP. The last copy I heard about went to Klumpa about 4 months ago. San Fran must have some great record stores....lucky....

My friend Picked up this record at a yard sale a couple of weeks ago.Whats the latest?no one seemed to know anything about it. collectorscum.com or breakmyface.com didnt know.Glad I came across this post.The metal sleeve is pretty crazy
