bad cover of "These boots are made for walking"

bad cover of "These boots are made for walking"

Anyone heard this version? I heard it on radio ghoul school.

It is done by a female vocalist, and the instruments are quite minimal. Very very minimal. There's also a cheesy marching sound to it.

Who does this? And why does it suck so bad?

When you said "ghoul school" I thought I had it nailed with The Fixx cover...very oddly gothy for them. But you said female so I'm lost now.

I'm glad you didn't mean the best version ever recorded - by Crispin Hellion Glover:

I predict that Crispin's interpretation of the song will score a "Yech" on the Cooganometer. But I think it has a certain "Shatneresque" charm about it. Score: 8.7/10.

It wouldn't be Jessica Simpson's recent cover would it?

I haven't heard it, but I don't need to - I know how badly it will suck already.

Beki Bondage's post-Vice Squad band Ligotage did a cover of These Boots... but it's a very glam-metal take on the song.

Holy shit that was so bad it was good. Not that one, but wow that takes the top spot for worst rendition. It has an autistic quality, don't you think? Hell just watch his David Letterman appearence.

I can't describe anymore detail about the one I'm looking for, but the vocals were weak, female, and it sounded like her backup band was a MIDI file.

Oh, I don't know about that. I have heard it & it's worse than I expected. Truly wretched.
