one of the old WLIR songs I keep looking for (And no one seems to know) is Brian Brains "Funky Zoo" which they used to use for a commercial for a club called "The brooklyn Zoo" (Donna Donna used to host, I still have an ad from an old island ear)

It wouldn't surprise me....I wonder if she was able to take some of the music from 'LIR before it went off the air?? I wouldn't be surprised if Sue was a regular on this site! [:D]

Actually, Malibu Sue still uses that to talk over during her 80's all request flashback show...she's on another LI station called The New Island 94.3. BTW, as a side note, most of the people that request pick overplayed popular 80's NW songs....it's rare you hear anything more on the obscure side and I'm sure Sue isn't too happy about that.

94.3 has turned into vast uncooth travesty. I wouldn't listen to it now if you paid me to do so. Poor Sue was stuck giving away Bon Jovi tickets a couple of weeks ago on her lunch hour show. What I want to know is who were those mutants calling up for free Bon Jovi tickets? UGH! No offence to the gorgeous & wonderful Sue but I hope 94.3's ratings are in the toilet.
Yes TMO are the scum of the earth but as long as they're streaming LIR I'll listen. So nice to hear someone playing the new Kate Bush single instead of sucking on Bon Jovi's butt.
