Ian Hunter MP3 by chance?

Can anyone send me an MP3 of Ian's "All of the Good Ones are Taken" from the album of the same name? The only versions I can find commercially are the slowed down versions.

Freaking incredible... I was listening to this very song in my car today, thinking "I remember MTV playing this heavily at one time and gosh wouldn't it be nice to post it at NWO."

So, unless someone else gets it to you sooner, I'll fetch it from my car in the morning and post it. I don't think it's a "slowed-down" version.

Funnily enough, iTunes has the video to the original song, but the audio that they sell is the slowed down version from one of the comp albums.

I managed to locate 2 mp3s of the song, one is 3:43 @ 128 KBPS and the other at 3:39 in length @ 160 KBPS -- I've never heard the song before, but honestly I can't tell if one is faster than the other.

Ian recorded this album at the end of 1982, and is a real mix of styles. Mick Ronson was absent, as he was seriously considering quitting the music business ("At one point I was even considering becoming a chef" - Mick). Strongest tracks are Speechless (later to be covered by Status Quo), and the title track. Every Step of the Way was also later covered by The Monkees on their Listen To The Band box set.

Side two closes with a slow version of All Of The Good Ones Are Taken, while side one opens with a fast version. The original version was "lost", but the record company persuaded Ian to re-record it ("But I couldn't get the feel back" - Ian). The fast version was released as a single, which was accompanied by a video which was shown for a while on MTV.

OK, I have two versions also. Neither of which sound like what I *think* is the slow version. I have heard a slow version. But what do I know.

Sadly, this album is out of print.
