Freestyle Music Videos-A Warning!!!

Postby workjobb » Tue Jan 04, 2005 10:29 pm

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned on the board before, but there's a website called freestylemusicvideos.com that supposedly sells compilation DVDs of videos. DO NOT order anything from these people. I was robbed of $80, received absolutely nothing except empty promises and lies. I filed a complaint with Paypal, which was found in my favor, but they were unable to recover funds to get my money back. I'm extremely interested if anyone else has dealt with them and what the result has been.
Sorry if this is off-topic, but I don't want anyone else to be taken in by these thieves.

Yikes. I would have really liked the expose 2dvd set too. Man, it's like you waved this carrot in front of me while telling me I can't have it. Oh, well.

Anyway, did you pay with a credit card? You might be able to dispute the charge. The credit card companies are usually really good with this if you never received the product.

Luckily, a helpful person on the VH1 Classic message board was able to guide me in the right direction for their information, so a complaint has been filed with the NJ Better Business Bureau. Apparently, others have been scammed by these jerks, too.

Is paypal going to at least stop allowing the company to charge people using their service?

WorkJobb:

Keep on Paypal, I got burned in a similar fashion, and got 90% of my money back within 14 days. They also went after the scammer.

Good Luck!!

I message these people a few days ago expressing my opinions on how they scam people and the sent me this message.

"Hello, the Holidays were extremely hectic. We are backed up with some orders. No rip offs here, just overwhelmed with orders. We are catching up slowly but surely. If your friend hasn't received their order, they will do so within the next couple of weeks. Thanks for your time.
Maria"
