OMD Reunion!!!

Postby Surly » Tue Jan 03, 2006 12:56 am

Did anyone else catch this?

from their website:

As previously reported, 2006 could well be the OMD Renaissance year with the reformation of the band now officially announced. To recap, Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys, Mal Holmes and Martin Cooper will be returning as OMD with concerts and a new album on the way. Joining them for live shows will be Stuart Kershaw. Here's what's on the schedule:

OMD perform Architecture & Morality live
A brand new OMD album
Extensive European tour
Remastered Dazzle Ships album
OMD DVD
Unreleased material album
Outside of those plans, don't forget that Paul Humphreys and Claudia Brücken will be embarking as OneTwo with an album and live shows on the way. Plus, Mal Holmes will be continuing to work with more artists via his Muzic2Burn project.

Obviously, regular visitors will be aware that some of these projects have suffered delays and setbacks, but the OMD Website will continue to flag up developments and news as it comes in.

We also have a new Poll here on the news page asking what your thoughts are on the OMD Reformation. We also have a brand new Survey asking you which OMD album would you like the band to do a live showcase for next.

I'm a HUGE fan, but untill I see a scheduled date for releases or concert dates, I'm not going to start holding my breath yet.

Thanks for the info. Do you think at the time you copy and paste the information, you could also include a link to the url where it came from?

I'm more interested in the DVD and remaster (even if it IS Dazzlenoise *foghorn sound effect here*) than their live performance. They've been talking about a DVD for the past couple of years so I'm not holding my breath.
