That is SOOO funny!! (and true) Mike P has a very young face in person. His fiance' is a really nice person. I liked her a lot.
One day that little freaky kid will come in. He has to break down some time.
Nice work Blir.

I had a blast at the event, even if I didn't make it to the show. It was great seeing the usual bunch, and also to see the new faces that I've been posting with here. I sometimes think what it would have been like hanging out with all of you back in the day, and the stories we would have to tell then!

<br>I forgot that we were able to grab one picture at the pre-concert feast. Like Wauk said, Mike's fiance is one fine lady. And for whatever reason, Mike looks older in his pics than in real life...you big babyface! Only thing that ruined it was that freak kid who kept staring through the window. We always invite him in but he never comes.

Is that our Mike P. or is he actually Law & Order: Criminal Intent's own... Vincent D'Onofrio?
I've never seen them in the same room at the same time...have you?

I think they are twins separated at birth.

Hey there peeps. I had a funfuckingtastic time meeting you all and hanging out with you all. Thanks for letting me tag along, I'm totally new to this and you guys totally made me feel comfortable. It's so funny, I know you in person now, and now I gotta figure out who's who with your user names... Patty Smith was truly incredible, her voice was strong, her backing band was spot one, not trying to do modern interpretations of her work, but instead really drummed up the feeling of her era when she owned and ruled it. The sound ranged from Bo diddlyesque to velvetundergroundesque to acoustic improvisations about an unfortunate but funny meal at the Lobster Palace in chinatown and some poetry reading (with spectacles of course) and political discouse. Let's just say she is not a particularly big fan of Bush. Surprise surprise. Equally entertaining was the audience, I had some, errrrrr, interesting guys dancing in front of me. Just added to the ambience, and I am so grateful they didn't land on my feet when the pogo dancing began during "Rock ’n’ Roll Nigger". Oh, and I liked the opening act, didn't get the name, but her daughter is in the trio, which curiously didn't include a bass player, but the ideas were interesting and melodic. Anyhoo, thanks for letting me hang out. I am in New York, so lets do it again. And now I know to keep up with concerts in the forums. It sure beats the Village Voice...

Look forward to reading all your posts!

That pic is so funny. It was just like that. Wayne great to meet you to. The nick is from my two favorite books, Dune and the Iliad, both have the House of Atreides, or Atreus. And yes, I am one of those people who actually like the film version of Dune, which came out in 1984, what a year![;)]

Dude! It was indeed nice meeting up with ya. Should everyone keep you on the d-list for other NYC concert activities? And sorry I didn't have a pic of you. If you happen to have a nice profile view that would slot right into the image, the obsessive/compulsive side of me couldn't resist sliding that in. And Dune...big crush on Sting's monumental acting prowess perhaps?! [:o)]

Hey gang ... I'm back after that exhilarating experience. It was great meeting all of you in person finally and seeing one spectacular show. Thanks for all of your generosity gang ... picking up the tix, comping the meal. Too kind![:I] Alina thought all of you were great and we'd love to do it again sometime. I'm sure we'll be back within a year.

I also had a great time meeting up with 2Nu (Rich), Marie3, Abacab and Eeyore2 in Long Island earlier in the week. Rich hooked us up with that great tour of the control tower at Republic Airport -- that was a real treat!

Wayne -- you went way out of your way the day after at the wine shop when you sent Alina and I off with a fantastic care package. Needless to say, we are in awe of your generosity and owe you one big-time, so email me your address please, you swell bastard![:D]

Blir, the photo rocks! And yes, I've been told by Alina many-a-time that I resemble Vincent D. I do a hilarious Detective Goren impression that has her rolling on the floor!

And Patrick ... glad you dropped in as well! It was great seeing you again and hanging out. Last time we met up in NY, it was just a couple months prior to 9-11.

Happy New Year!
Back to work you slackers![:o)]
